“Sunday night I had the opportunity to rock the stage with The Blueprint, some great musicians in Minneapolis / St Paul; it’s a beautiful thing when you think about it. Every musician is gifted with playing an instrument or two. That inspired me to start a band of my own.”
This is just the beginning of the first post by Yasiel Obed Taylor, AKA “YotMan”, on his new Prism created custom blog; www.YotManForReal.com. And this post is just the beginning for YotMan as he begins this new journey in his music career.
Originally from the south side of Chicago, YotMan began his musical journey while living in Los Angeles. He started a rap group after returning to Chicago and started rapping on WHPK, a Chicago area college radio station. He has collaborated with Twista and Da Smart, home grown rappers out of Chicago.
After moving to the Twin Cities in the early 1990′s, he recorded his first album with Smooth Compositon Recordings (SCR), a compilation with the title song; “Yotman On The Rise”.
